NAIMA BLANCO-NORBERG

Naima Liang Blanco-Norberg is a designer, artist/muralist, ceremonial runner and community organizer. She was born and raised on Ramaytush Ohlone land (San Francisco, CA) to a mixed family rooted in their Xicano/a, Mexica, Chinese, Black and Swedish lineages. Her work centers around community based design, grassroots genealogical architectures, and empowering people through the union of culture and the arts. Naima works as a design assistant with ISAPD, is an Artist in Residence in the Architecture + Design Department at San Francisco School of the Arts, and is completing a post-graduate fellowship with Native Roots Network designing a Community Resilience Center. She holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Architecture from Yale University.
